Simple Steps for Cover Crop Success

While the benefits of cover crops are widely touted, many conversations lack the practical guidance farmers need to confidently evaluate and adopt this practice. To help, the Western Cover Crops Council (WCCC) has developed a cover crop selection tool designed to simplify this decision making process. In this session, WCCC representatives from Washington and Oregon will demonstrate features of the new selection tool and share insights from recent and past cover crop trials, highlighting what has worked and what hasn't.

Managing the Transition to Organic and Regenerative Production

Farmers always face a wide array of challenges, but the challenges can be compounded in the transition from conventional to organic and regenerative production. In this workshop, farmers share their experiences with managing weeds, insects, diseases and soil fertility as they transition from conventional to organic farming practices in Eastern Washington.
